About the Exhibition
Ye awright, pal? is an immersive exhibition of drawings by over 100 migrants living in and around Glasgow. It explores people’s reasons for moving here, their interactions with the locals, appreciation for Scotland, culture shock, changing identity, challenges, contributions, and hopes for the future. Such is the complexity of migrant lives, with happy moments and painful memories mixed together.
Ye awright, pal? is part of the Putting Ourselves in the Picture project, which aims to ensure that migrant heritage is documented and recognised as part of Scotland’s heritage. The project was made possible by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
